Congratulations to my branding friends at Cisco and WebEx — you (well, WE) managed to move up one spot on the Business Week list – not an easy task!   Louis Vuitton will always be ahead of you (I guess) but beating Apple, Honda, Oracle, Dell, etc… Good stuff!  I think having a more end-user focused asset with WebEx did the trick… don’t you?  Its the new WebEx logo that did it… :)

  1. Wow, that “word mark” did alot of heavy lifting! Maybe next year the economy will bring down Louis Vuitton. Expensive baubles will be going out of favor, green and recycled, free and shared will be all the rage. Speaking of which, and the whole freemium thing, have you seen that Chris Anderson, the author of the Long Tail, has been writing/blogging a good bit about various models for free online, etc. Shared/traded stuff, micro interactions and creation of value is also interesting as a way to build community, since that’s up your alley these days :-) . Paperbackswapping, etc.
